RESEARCH

The research department is a cross organisational entity that will help to ensure that the dawah and the structures supporting the dawah are in line with up-to-date research and best practice.

The research department will focus on delivering outcomes which will be used to service the needs of dawah. The research department will take a holistic approach on dawah, incorporating the important interplay between Islamic knowledge and practice, cultural issues, community development, the wider social and political context and the sustainability and advancement of our dawah within it.

Some of the work the iERA research work strands include:

  1. Sociology: this work strand will include perceptions, trends and attitudes of the Muslim and non-Muslim community on a myriad topics
  2. Statistics: this work strand will ensure that we can provide the dawah practitioners relevant, timely and accurate statistics and trends on a wide selection of topics
  3. Intellectual & dawah: this work strand will produce up-to-date papers, research publications and articles on cogent arguments articulating the case for Islam, which will range from history, politics, philosophy, and aqeeda; from which writers and duaat can use as references for dawah and publications
  4. Leadership, Communication & Organisation: this work strand will investigate best practice methods for building an organisation that seeks to achieve the successful propagation of its message
